Looking to Join a professional body?
The Complementary Medical Association (CMA) is recognised as the "professional" voice of the complementary medical and natural health care arena.
Please read the following information and fill out the form at the bottom of this page and we will be happy to send you further information.

The CMA do NOT require Anatomy and Physiology or a Massage qualification to join them, you can register with the CMA if you are a complete beginner or an experienced therapist and they recognise and cover all of our courses.
The CMA regonise all of the courses Gateway Workshops offer - please scroll to the bottom of the page to fill out your details to request their information.
Although the CMA is, in fact, the world's largest membership body for complementary medical practitioners, students and colleges, we maintain a very personal - hands on - approach with our members and we are always known to respond quickly and professionally to any query or issue that our members might face.
Our activities include the promotion of ethical, responsible and professional complementary medicine to both the public and the conventional medical profession by way of educational programmes and maintaining a high media presence. We receive over ten media exposures each week (in print and broadcast) and we always emphasise that our members are the elite among the complementary medical profession. We also use our media presence to get those members of the public who are looking for treatment or for training courses to visit our website to use our search databases to locate practitioners and colleges. Given that our web site receives over 1.5 million hits each month we are performing admirably.
The CMA is also very active at governmental levels both in the UK, Europe and further afield. We have been directly involved in fighting the proposed EU supplement bans - thereby helping to protect the complementary medical profession and those who work in it.
How do our members benefit from Complementary Medical Association membership?
Colleges - The CMA refers prospective students direct to the college via our website and also via letter. Many members of the public are unsure as to what constitutes a good training qualification and because of our high standards they are able to trust that CMA registered colleges will provide the very best levels of training.
Practitioners - Again the CMA operates a referrals scheme for practitioners in the same way as we do for colleges - thus helping the public and doctors to find properly qualified practitioners who adhere to the very highest standards of practice
Students - Complementary medical students are able to join the CMA while they are training - ensuring that they are abreast of all the latest developments within the profession. Also - when they are at the stage where they may practice under supervision the CMA adds them to the practitioner database.
Apart from the very obvious benefits of CMA membership as outlined above, ultimately CMA membership says a great deal about our members high levels of professionalism and commitment to excellence. CMA members truly are perceived to be the elite force within the complementary medical profession. For information about becoming part of the professional face of complementary medicine please fill out the enquiry form above and we will be happy to send you further details.
